Medical Center, an academic medical center located in upstate New York,
retained the
services of Advance to provide interim management and project support
to facilitate a transition in practice management. Advance completed
several important activities in support of this assignment resulting
in an overall ongoing financial benefit to the Faculty Group Practice
of approximately $164,000.
During this assignment, Advance
- Redesigned yellow-page advertisements saving 15% and increasing referral line calls by 17%
- Designed a workflow analysis process for the documentation of administrative work processes across departments; providing special assistance to cardiology, the Heart and Vascular Institutes
- Measured staffing ratios and physician productivity against national benchmarks
- Completed the MGMA multi-departmental Productivity and Compensation Survey
- Assisted in the development of HIPAA policies and procedures
